WEDNESDAY: Report on Feasibility of Living Wage Mandate for All Tompkins County
The Tompkins County Workers’ Center (TCWC) is very pleased to announce that our campaign to secure a Living Wage for ALL Tompkins County workers is moving forward. In this regard, a Tompkins County Legislative Committee, Workforce Diversity and Inclusion, will begin to take up this issue THIS Wednesday, August 24th, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. YOU are invited! There will be a presentation on the FEASIBILITY of this legislation, and it will take approximately 45 minutes. Associate Professor and Chair of Economics Department at Ithaca College, Shaianne Osterreich, and Senior Cornell University Industrial and Labor Relations Researcher, Ian Greer, will be making the presentation.
If you would like to attend the Committee meeting, there are two ways of doing so:
- Come to the Tompkins County Legislative Chambers, located at 121 East Court St. in Ithaca (Entrance is at the back of the building facing Dewitt Park. Chambers are located on 2nd Floor with access by stairs or elevator;
