Gig Economy: Who? What? Why?
If you or someone you know works or has worked for an app-based company in the gig economy, we want to hear about your experience.
The economy is rapidly changing. New companies are popping up all the time offering to serve as the conduit between workers looking to make ends meet and consumers wanting to fulfill a need. It is often difficult to find information about these companies and, most importantly, their workforce.
That is why the Tompkins County Workers’ Center is supporting Cornell and its School of Industrial Labor Relations, specifically the Worker Institute, in conducting a study of gig economy workers. The Worker Institute has created a short survey, less than five minutes to take, to get a better understanding of your experience, the industry, and the type of work performed.
If you have been a worker in the gig economy, or KNOW of someone who has been, please take the survey (or forward onto the person/s you know who have) by clicking here.
Please share this survey and help spread the word.
