Occupational Safety and Health Training Available in March
The Tompkins County Workers Center is pleased to offer OSH (Occupational Health and Safety) training for low wage and vulnerable workers in March 2018. This interactive training will cover tools to better understand different things at work that can hurt us (hazards), how hazards affect our bodies, strategies to eliminate or manage hazards at work, and our rights at work.
The training will be held twice, first on March 8th and then again on March 22nd at the Tompkins County Workers Center upstairs from Autumn Leaves used books in downtown Ithaca, NY. Both trainings are scheduled to run 5:30-8pm.
Workers who attend either day of the training will receive a $40 prepaid visa card in consideration of their time. In order to be sure we have enough cards we do ask that workers RSVP to us at Rob@TCWorkersCenter.org or call 607-269-0409.
Thanks to the Occupational Health Clinical Center in Syracuse and the New York State Department of Labor for support of this effort.
